I think if you're Red Sox, well, it's something you're born with, and affection you have." - Johnny Pesky

It's official Josh Beckett has been declared a "Stud". This has nothing to do with his boyish good looks folks. When a man calls another man a "stud" in the sports world it usually means he has achieved some sort of greatness. Last night Josh Beckett became a stud in our book. His fourth straight win included 7K's, 0ER's, 1BB, & 4 Hits. It was a studly performance no doubt.
Sox roll over D'Rays 4-1
(For those of you that have inquired about the stud status of Papelpon he has also been anointed as a official stud after picking up his 16th save of the season with a ridiculous 0.36 ERA)

Mirabelli Gives Wakefield Much Needed Confidence
Newly acquired
Doug Mirabelli arrived at the ballpark about 15 minutes before game time.
He received a police escort to the park and had to change in the car on
the way over. Doug received a huge standing ovation to start the game.
Doug was 0-4 but made a great throw to second to catch a stealing Yankee.
His presence was felt behind the plate where he didn't let up any passed
balls. Welcome back Doug!
